Still Here. Still Strong. Still Family.

The Revival of the Historic Commercial Center District

Since our last blog post in 2018, so much has changed—and yet, the heart of the Historic Commercial Center District remains the same.

We’ve lived through a world pandemic. We’ve seen long-time legends take their final bow. We’ve witnessed new dreams take root and grow. Through it all, one thing has never changed: we are still here, still strong, and still a vibrant, independent community.

Over the years, we’ve said goodbye to beloved staples like The Nevada Room, Coop’s Cabaret, 3 Wizards Tattoo, ICT Republic by Digital Will, Arawan Thai Bistro, Jin Mee BBQ, and The Vape Café. Each of these businesses left their mark and will always be part of our story.

And with every ending, came a new beginning.

We proudly welcomed incredible new additions to the district, including Pasa Bocas, La Vecindad, Brasa Roja, The Composers Room, Chiang Mai Thai, Good Vibes Nutrition & Fitness, CE Catering, Best of Las Vegas Tattoo, and a vibrant Nigerian restaurant bringing even more cultural richness to our community. We also welcomed back Excel Shipping International—proof that once you’re part of this family, you’re always part of it.

In 2023, we celebrated a major milestone—the 60th Diamond Anniversary of Commercial Center—with the launch of our Mob, Murder & Mystery Tour, a first-of-its-kind immersive experience sharing the true history of this iconic district since 1962.

We’ve also expanded our Visitor Center (Suite E11A), now offering merchandise, mugs, memorabilia, and collectibles that celebrate the legacy and spirit of Commercial Center.

And while redevelopment efforts for District E—first envisioned in 2009 and reactivated in 2021—continue to evolve, we remain grounded in what makes us truly special.

We are Las Vegas’ last true mom-and-pop district.

As of today, April 17, 2026, there are still no corporate chains here—just real people, real businesses, and real passion. This is a place where entrepreneurs take chances, artists create, cultures collide, and community thrives.

Yes, we are vintage—established in 1963—with original buildings and one of the last remaining classic plaza-style layouts in Las Vegas. But look closer and you’ll see the magic: updated facades, bold murals, inspired interiors, and a constant spirit of reinvention.

Think Mid-Century Modern.
Think old Los Angeles.
Think New York or San Francisco energy—
but uniquely Las Vegas.

If you listen closely, you can still hear the echoes of the past—the Rat Pack singing, laughter spilling out of the old delis, the whispers of history woven into every corner. The spirit of the Mob, the entertainers, the dreamers—it’s still here.

But today, we are something new.

We are the next generation.
We are the Commercial Center Family.
“Siamo tutti una grande famiglia.” — We are all one big family.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, we invite you to stop by, explore our massive plaza, enjoy easy curbside parking, and discover something unexpected.

Because here, it’s not just about where you go—
it’s about who you meet, what you feel, and the stories you become a part of.

With gratitude and pride,
